WCC aims to give children and young people in Sierra Leone a 21st century healthcare service. Currently WCC offers an advisory service, with plans to help improve health and sanitation standards in the near future. These improvements will include the development of a healthcare centre in Calaba Town that will be central to the delivery of health education and clinics. It will also help WCC: • Deliver first aid training and raise health awareness • Work with children, young people and their families in order to improve their standard of living • Assist children and young people to choose and maintain a healthier lifestyle • Reduce and prevent avoidable deaths of young people in the community through proper sanitation As a charity we take child protection very seriously and understand that then need for it is paramount. We believe that all children and young people should be safeguarded from harm and exploitation.
WCC plans to extend its services geared towards improving children and young people’s standard of living in the future to include: • Health promotion and development • Community rehabilitation services • Community dental • Community paediatricians • Child protection • Child therapy • Music therapy
